I want to make the process of getting you or your company onto the web as clear and easy as possible regardless of the size or scale of your project. Please use the menu above or scroll with your mouse.
Beautiful graphic design, intuitive user interfaces and creative layout. This is what will give your website it's unique identity and keep the user interested in your site. I use Illustrator & Photoshop to design all the elements.
The backend section governs how a web site functions. I use all the latest languages to build your site creating a dynamic & interesting user experience. Also a website that will work across all browsers & systems.
I create applications, games, web sites and banners in Flash using Actionscript 2 & 3. I sell items on Activeden and have been creating custom applications and gadgets for clients all over the world for the last seven+ years.
Here you can find a quick run down of the skills I have learnt over the years, what software I know and how I go about using it.
What software do I use?
Hopefully everything you need for a great site. I design and develop mainly using the Adobe design suite, I have been using it for over 10 years and have become highly skilled in all of the individual software.
I am also familiar with many other forms of software including OScommerce, Wordpress & Joomla and have experience in Flash Physics and 3D engines.
What languages do I know?
I have been programming since I was a boy on my ZX Spectrum and today there are many new languages that go into a single website. I try to maintain a high level of knowledge over a wide variety of them and can work quickly and efficiently to produce code. I even program games in Flash using Actionscript 3.I offer four types of packages ranging from simple one page sites to full CMS. Each one varies in what it can do and how much it costs.
A one page layout that will display enough
information about you or your company to get users interested in your services. Creative design coupled with simple coding, fast to create yet perfect for someone who might not have lots of content to display or need multiple pages. Best suited to web sites that will not need updating or changing very often.
A standard website that contains individual pages that link via a menu. Best suited to someone who wants to display information using unique page layouts for each section. The content can be more dynamic allowing the user a much richer experience. It's also best suited to businesses or people whose websites are unlikely to change very often or need updating.
A responsive site provides optimal viewing across a wide range of devices from computer monitors to mobile phones. More and more people are browsing the net using phones and tablets and this could be critical to your sites success. Try resizing your browsers width and watch how this site changes. Think of it as a standard style site that reacts to the user.
CMS or a 'Content Management System' allows you to control and manage the content of your site. You can log into it from any browser and edit, add or delete content / pages. This type of site is perfect for someone who would need to regularly update their site with current information without having to pay a designer. This can also be Responsively designed.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
A quote will be based on the package you chose but will vary depending on the content and make up of your site. I can help you in deciding exactly what needs to go into your site to keep it interesting and dynamic.
WHAT IS FREELANCE?
When I take on a project you get my full and undivided attention. I oversee everything and I never out source my work. The best part is you get a high quality top end web site but at freelance prices.
I can help you with every stage of your project from concept to promotion. I'll work with you to understand your needs and ultimately, deliver a high quality web site.
A successful project starts with a solid and realistic plan. I'll find out what your objectives are, who your audience is, and what you want the site to represent.
Then we need a layout or sitemap. Users need to find what they're looking for quickly and efficiently. Keep them interested, they need a reason to stay.
From there we need to decide on the sites content, this is all the information that is contained on the pages and how it is displayed.
At this point I will have a greater understanding of how big the site will be, now we can review the budget and make sure we are both happy.
This is where the fun starts, I will first create some mock ups of layouts and send you a few image examples for you to chose from. During this time I need to get get a feel for you or companies identity. This may include colour scheme, logo style, fonts and images.
Perhaps you want me to create an identity from from scratch. Anything is possible at this stage.
As time moves on and you are happy with the design then the coding will begin. You'll be given a test link to your project so you can see how the work is going and send me feedback on how it look and functions. This will continue until you're happy for the site to go live.
I'll make sure your site is optimised to be as search engine-friendly as possible but this does not guarantee you a top spot on the search engines. This can only come through promotion and constant monitoring of your web site.
I can offer advice on how you can increase your sites ranking in the main search engines through things like link building, social networking, online campaigns and services like Google Adwords.
I can teach you how to monitor your site using tools like Google Analytics. This way you can see how users are interacting with your sites content and how to improve the web sites content.
You need hosting and a domain name for your site. Both of these are offered by hosting companies of which there are hundreds available. My preferred company is Streamline.net. I can advise you on your choices and types of packages they offer. This will also allow you to register a domain name.
Your domain name must be unique which can be harder than it sounds. It is a vitally important part of your sites identity and may define it's success. Also you need to decide on the domain extension, do you want to use .com or co.uk, .info or .biz. The choice is growing and each represent something different.
Here are some of projects and applications I have created over the years for various clients. Use the filter buttons below to find something specific.
